      DESCRIPTION
Rosalind Franklin was a pioneering British chemist and X-ray crystallographer who made major contributions to the discovery of the structure of DNA. She was born in 1920 in London and went on to study physics and chemistry at Newnham College, Cambridge. In 1951, she began working on X-ray diffraction images of DNA fibers, which would later become crucial to the discovery of the structure of DNA.
Franklin's X-ray diffraction images of DNA fibers showed clear evidence of the molecule's double-helix structure, but her findings were not widely recognized at the time. It was only later, when her data was shown to James Watson and Francis Crick, who were also working on determining the structure of DNA, that they were able to use her work to build a model of the double helix. In 1962, Watson and Crick were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their discovery of the structure of DNA, but Franklin's contributions were not acknowledged. Despite this oversight, her pioneering work in X-ray crystallography remains a crucial part of the story of the discovery of the DNA double helix, and she is now widely recognized as one of the key figures in the field of molecular biology.

      What is DTG printing anyway?

Direct-to-garment (DTG) printing is a digital printing process that allows for full-color designs to be printed directly onto textile materials, such as t-shirts and hoodies. The process involves using specialized inkjet printers that are equipped with a print head that can apply ink directly onto the fabric.

The DTG printer uses water-based ink that is specially formulated to be absorbed by the fibers of the fabric, resulting in a high-quality print that is both vibrant and durable.

DTG printing has many benefits over traditional screen printing methods, such as the ability to print full-color designs without additional screens or setup costs and greater flexibility in terms of design options. It is also more environmentally sustainable, as water-based inks used in DTG printing are more eco-friendly than traditional plastisol inks used in screen printing.
